Wieck · Eldena

Directly on the Greifswald Bodden lies the listed fishing village of Wieck with space for numerous ships. Here you will find maritime flair and relaxation on the nearby beach in Eldena.

A special attraction in Wieck is the hundred-year-old wooden drawbridge. Built according to the Dutch model, it is still fully functional today. The idyllic harbor offers space for many ships. Here, for example, is also the berth of the schooner brig "Greif", which was built of steel in Rostock-Warnemünde in 1951. On board of the sail training ship is an extensive chronicle that provides information about the history of the ship and its crew.

Experience maritime flair of yesterday and today: The Gaffelrigg Fishing Festival takes place every year on the third weekend in July. Next to the Hanse Sail, the fishermen's festival in Wieck is the largest maritime folk festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Cozy cafés and restaurants offer guests in Wieck a place to relax and enjoy regional culinary delights. A walk past the many thatched houses with a view of the Greifswalder Bodden is worthwhile in any case.

And right next to Wieck is Greifswald's city beach in Eldena. Here you can relax on sunny days and enjoy the wonderful weather.
