Lubmin is the only seaside resort at the bay coastline and with its long sandy beach offers ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday at the sea.
The area is very popular with sailors and surfers because of its extensive shallow water zone. Bike paths and designated walking trails along the Bay of Greifswald and by the pine forests of the Lubmin heath invite to sporting excursions. The historic station building now houses the spa and accommodation service. Previously, the building served as a stopping point for the former small rail tracks between Greifswald and Wolgast. Directly between the mouth of the Peene and the Hanseatic city of Greifswald is the Marina Lubmin.
