Koeppenhaus
The Koeppenhaus Greifswald houses a literary center that offers a wide range of events. In the gallery there are temporary exhibitions in the literary field of tension and a cabinet exhibition on Wolfgang Koeppen.
The birthplace of the writer Wolfgang Koeppen (1906-1996) was opened as a literary center in 2002. It is used as a Wolfgang Koeppen memorial and as a venue for readings, among other things. Koeppen's Munich study and his estate, which belongs to the University of Greifswald and contains 11,000 volumes (archive by appointment), as well as temporary exhibitions at the intersection of art and literature can be visited. In addition to exhibitions, readings, concerts, lectures and films, there is a literature café.
