Landscape park

English landscape park by P.J. Lenné

The former manor house of the landowning family von Behr was burned down in the last days of the war in 1945. What remains is the landscape park, which was created between 1840 and 1860 according to the plans of the famous landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenné for the wife of Carl Felix Georg von Behr. In addition to rare trees and shrubs (Christ the Thorn, Blood Beech, Helmlock fir, chestnuts and Virginia juniper) are also two remnants of the original estate: the former horse stable and the bear gate. The park is a listed building.
