Harbour Lassan
Take a stroll at the old harbour in one of Germany's smallest towns.
In the east side of Vorpommern, vis-à-vis to the island Usedom and directly at the Peenestrom, the old town of Lassan is located, midst the appealing landscape between gently rolling hills and wide fields. The town is not a typical tourist stronghold and has a lot to offer. With only 1500 inhabitants, the town is rated among the smallest towns, but it can look back on a 700 year history, as a farming town and a fishing village. In the past, the harbour was a trading centre and berth, but now a lot of water sport enthusiasts find their way to Lassan. Lassan is a good point to explore the listed waters of Usedom with its numerous bays and diverse landscape.
Tourists, who want to get in touch with the land and the people and are looking for a quiet place with a personal Atmosphere, will find that at the nature campsite, directly to the Peene. There is also a small beach, in the middle of the reed belt with an adventure playground, called “Spielburg”. A volleyball court provides fun and variety. You can buy cold drinks on the campsite.
