Village Church Groß Kiesow

The Church dates from the 13th century and is built of stone and brick. Next to the church begins a pilgrim path, which is signposted with 8 stations.

St. Laurentius Church in Groß Kiesow was built in the second half of the 13th century from fieldstones and bricks. Since 2012, the parish has belonged to the Demmin Provostry in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany. It has a tower and an indented, square choir.  In the south and east runs a round-arched frieze on triangular brackets.

The 17th-century armorial panels and murals are considered popular sights of the Lutheran church. Right by the church there is a [Olga Karr1] pilgrimage path marked with eight stations, each station marked by an erratic boulder.

The key to visit the church is available in the parish office Groß Kiesow.
