Underground sightseeing routes in Szczecin

Thematic exhibition gallery

Directly under the main station is the restored shelter, which visitors can enter via track three.

It is the only museum of its kind in Poland. The underground routes lead through the air-raid shelter from the 2nd World War, the area of which is 1,3000 m2. The tunnel goes into the embankment at the main station 16 meters deep. The corridors have a height of 3 meters and the length of the largest corridor is 100 meters. During the air raids, the bunker provided shelter for about 5 thousand people.

In total, three different underground routes are offered:

Route 1: "The Second World War" is a tour with thematic exhibitions in long historical tunnels and rooms. It also features a set from a film shot at the site.

Route 2: The exhibition route "Cold War" deals with the history of the air-raid shelter during the Cold War. The "Cold War" themed exhibit route is in a different part of the bunker than the "World War II" route.

Route 3: The exhibition "Selfie with PRL (People's Republic of Poland -Communism Time)" includes fun designed walls and artistic installations as well as large format photos perfect for selfie shots.
