Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival: "At the Water's Edge
Water characterizes the landscape of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern like hardly any other natural element. And beyond the habitat in and around the water, it forms a constantly bubbling source of inspiration for artists of all stripes. This Sunday by the sea is dedicated to the confluence of water and music, which impressively brings the relevance, but also the beauty of the life-giving element into focus.
The day "On the Water" begins with a musical morning by the State Youth Choir under the direction of Daniel Arnold on the Dänholm before continuing to Drigge on the Island of Rügen. Here, prize-winner in residence Martynas Levickis will present intoxicating sounds from his Baltic homeland, among others, in a shipyard hall. Finally, in the evening, we will dive down to the "Giants of the Seas" in the OZEANEUM Stralsund to let ourselves be washed around by abundant water music from Handel to Whitacre. Wet eyes, exuberant joy, waves of enthusiasm and soaking applause cannot be ruled out.
The evening concert is already sold out, but tickets are still available for the entire theme day including the evening concert at the OZEANEUM.
