Hotel Neetzow Castle

Finally out. Into the natural heart of Western Pomerania.

Conveniently located for day trips to the region and the Baltic seaside resorts, Hotel Schloss Neetzow combines historical elegance with modern-day amenities. Richly decorated stately rooms and the sun terrace facing the small lake with its landscaped park meet simply but comfortably furnished guest rooms and suites. The chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees and the warm hospitality of the grandchildren of the former landowner family von Kruse invite its hotel guests to enjoy a small bistro kitchen and a well-stocked wine cellar. All this without tam-tam, chi-chi or even bling-bling - after all, it's the simple things in life that delight the most.

Built around 1850 in the Gothic Tudor style, the manor house is today one of the best preserved of its time in the region. It was designed by the Berlin architect Georg F. H. Hitzig, at that time a student of the Prussian master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Thanks to continuous use throughout the various eras of contemporary history, the building with its opulent wall and ceiling decorations has been preserved for subsequent generations. The extensive park around the palace was laid out according to plans by the imperial landscape planner Peter Joseph Lenné with a small lake and numerous foreign as well as native trees. After more than 170 years, these have reached a stately size and have become a welcome home for numerous birds to be observed.

In order to guarantee the tranquility of its hotel guests, day visits from inside the castle are unfortunately not possible. Once a year, however, Schloss Neetzow opens to an interested public with its own program as part of the annual Midsummer Remise
