Germany's largest island, the Isle of Rügen, is famous for its chalk cliffs and the seaside resorts of Binz and Sellin; the Isle of Usedom impresses with its three "Kaiserbäder" Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin; the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula has beautiful seaside resorts such as Zingst and Prerow.

Rügen Stretching over 1000 km², the Isle of Rügen is Germany's largest island - and perhaps also its most beautiful one, because no other region offers such a broad variety of scenic attractions. The 580 kilometres of coastline differ substantially: white sandy beaches, beech lined dunes, chalk cliffs, and reeds shape the shores, bays and lakes. The so-called "green tunnels", the old alleys, can be found everywhere and reach from the far south to the north of the island. The "White Gold", the white limestone coast is also worth a visit. Perhaps you will be inspired by this beautiful area just as much as the many romantic painters such as Caspar David Friedrich. The Isle of Rügen is the island of contrasts: the calm and rural villages and the wide landscape on the one hand - the young and colourful life of the east coast seaside resorts on the other.

Fischland-Darss-Zingst Just a few centuries ago, the peninsula was a chain of independent islands, but storms and the currents of the Baltic Sea linked the individual islands together. "Germany's most beautiful peninsula" has a very diversified landscape. There are fine sandy beaches as well as steep banks like the ones between Ahrenshoop and Wustrow. Here you'll find the National Park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft", the largest national park of our region stretching over 80.500 ha.

Usedom Welcome to the sunshine island of Usedom. With an average of 1906 hours of sunshine per year, the second largest island is the sunniest place in Germany. The three "Kaiserbäder" of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin are beautiful seaside resorts. Explore the culture and history of the island, relax on the beach or visit the famous Ahlbeck Pier.
