"Erdholländer" windmill Trassenheide

The "Erdholländer" windmill was built in the 20th century and has a slate roof.

In Trassenheide stands a very well-preserved windmill, which was built in 1905. It is typical of the “Erdholländer” windmill that their wings reach almost down to the ground and can easily be covered. After the flight of the last wind miller in 1954 she was closed and served for many years as a holiday home of the company Carl Zeiss Jena. Today the mill is privately owned.
