Village Church Gristow

The village church of Gristow in Western Pomerania dates from the 13th century.

The start of construction of the village church of Gristow took place in the year 1280. Originally, the church had a wooden church tower, which however was demolished around 1690 due to structural damage and was replaced by a new free-standing Bell Tower. Buchholz organ (1820) is worth seeing inside the simple Church. From the Tower you can enjoy a magnificent view on the islands of Rügen and Riems, Ruden and Oie and the Bodden landscape.
